The Via-E chat is a place for girls to meet and interact with their friends and learn about social media tools. It is not intended for "worldwide cross chatting" although the very nature of the technology allows for this. Please instruct your child to only chat with friends she knows. Once a person is removed from the site for violation of the rules or suspicious behavior they will not be reinstated. We have a zero tolerance policy and an aggressive protective posture to protect our girls. Listed below are the rules restated in adult terms:

• The management of Via-E reserves the right to govern this chat space and remove any postings or limit any participants at their discretion.
• Use Appropriate Language: Personal attacks, slurs, and profanity are not allowed.
• Talk to your child about protecting their confidentiality. Please keep in mind that this chat is a public space.
• It is mandatory to treat all other online participants with respect.
• Impersonating anyone is strictly forbidden. Code names are a great way for children to play safely in an online environment but they must never pretend to be another person.
• Via-E does not allow behavior or content related to illegal activities. Anyone who uses the Via-E community chats to publish, post, distribute, or disseminate defamatory, infringing, obscene, or other unlawful material or discussion will be barred and reported to the authorities. WE DO MONITOR THIS SITE! THERE IS A ZERO TOLERANCE TO ANY SUSPICIOUS OR UNBECOMING BEHAVIOR.
• You may not use the Via-E chat for the purpose of linking to external sites.
• You are responsible and liable for all your child's activities while they participate in the Via-E chats.
• Via-E reserves the right to ban any participant from the chat rooms for violating any of these rules listed above.
• Via -E reserves the right to amend or change these policies at any time without notice.
