Meet Michaela who is learning fun is not about being a “princess” and concentrating on being pretty or getting a lot of attention for herself, but instead greater fun and friendship is found in being part of teams, helping her community and appreciative for what her family helps her accomplish. We met Michaela when she was towing a wagon full of small potted flowers she was selling to help raise money to donate to the local animal shelter. It was a beautiful Saturday and although the beach was only 5 minutes drive away, she chose to spend the day working to help care for lost and abandoned animals by raising money to help the shelter. The best part is she was having fun! Stopping at neighboring sprinklers to water her plants, chatting with her mom about her goals and meeting new people offering them a chance to do good too. We think Michaela represents an ideal Via E Girl.
